Herron
Earl C. Herron, 92, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday July 27, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1921 in Athens County to the late George and Vonnie (Mace) Herron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
He is survived by children, Sandra (Terry) Green and Diane (Dan) Binner both of Lancaster, Jerry Herron of Texas, Terry Herron and Tammi (Carl) Skidmore both of Lancaster, Curt (Beth) Herron and Teresa (David) Smith both of Logan, Marsha (Larry) Horn, Michael Herron and Shawn (Marlena) Herron all of Lancaster; 37 grand children, 33 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alpha (Gaskins) Herron; grandchildren, Brandi Horn and Nathan Rose; brothers, Merrit and Ingram Herron.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the God of All Ages Church, 6135 Hopewell Church Road with Pastor Larry Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery with military honors provided by AMVETS Post #2256. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.
