Douglas Heffner

Douglas Dean Heffner, age 62, left this world unexpectedly on November 30, 2022. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio on December 14, 1959, to Glenn and Ruth Heffner. Doug was a drummer in the Lancaster High School Band of Gold and he carried his affinity for music with him throughout his life. He couldn't resist drumming along to the beat of every song on his lap or dashboard of the car. He was an avid fan of the Buckeyes and the Ohio State University Marching Band. Doug often traveled out West and to Florida to bask in the sunny climate to escape the frigid Ohio winters. He was fascinated by space exploration and was in his element visiting Cape Canaveral and watching spacecraft launch from the Kennedy Space Center.

Doug was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Staci (Shayne) Heffner and Beth (Josh) VanFossen; son, Owen Heffner; sister, Rita Hanes; grandchildren Ava, Taelynn, Beau, Adilyn, and Brynsleigh. His family finds solace in knowing that he is finally at peace.

Cremation has been arranged in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
