Dora E. Nicodemus, age 75 of Stoutsville, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born August 7, 1948, in Richmond, VA, daughter of the late Glen S. and Flora E. (Owens) Whited. Dora had a green thumb and she always loved to work outside in her yard alongside her canine protector, Cody Max.
She is survived by her children, Glenn S. (Judy Shupe) Nicodemus, of Stoutsville, and Cletus Nathan (Tina) Nicodemus Jr., of Wewahitchka, FL; grandchildren, Samantha (Katsuki) Nicodemus Takano, and Kyle and Gabrielle Nicodemus; great grandson, Soya Takano; great granddaughter, Tomina Takano; brothers and sisters, Garland D. (Dorothy) Whited, of Naples, FL, Barbara E. (David) Weimer, of Jackson, OH, Bonnie S. (Bill) Weimer, of Williamsport, OH, Charlie F. (Jeannette) Whited, of Circleville, Nannie V. White, of Decatur, TN, John H. Whited, of Jackson, OH, and Glenda K. (Bill) Harsh, of Plumwood, OH; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Cletus; brothers, Kile D. and Douglas M. Whited.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Rev. Brad Grosvenor officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held later at Sunset Cemetery, Columbus.
