Carol Bussert

Carol L. Bussert, age 79 of Amanda, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born July 2, 1944, in Lancaster, the daughter of the late William R. and Dorothy E. (Cotterman) Bay. She was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1962. She co-owned and operated Cloverland Carriers with her husband Don for 60 years. She worked diligently alongside her husband to grow their business. Carol enjoyed teaching her Spinning Aces twirling group. She had formerly owned Avondale Drive-Thru and then opened the Buzz-In Buzz-Out in Amanda. She loved antiques and collectibles and taking care of her home and family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don; children, Lisa (Denny) Morris, of Amanda, Brad P. (Lisa) Bussert, of Amanda, and Carey E. Jones, of Florida; grandchildren, D. Ryan Morris, Cassie Davis, Stephane Ketcham, Courtney Bussert, Isabella Jones, Maggie Jones, and Emma Bussert; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Smith, of Lancaster and Debbi (Ed) Bright, of Pataskala; brother, Danny Bay, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
