Betty Louise Bowman, 89, a former resident of Amanda, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at her residence at Reflections. She was born October 15, 1928 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Floyd E. And Viola (Good) Ruff. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Amanda High School and a former member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Amanda and First English Lutheran Church in Lancaster. She is a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Sugar Grove.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ron) Hill of Amanda; grandsons, Donovan Hill and Matt (Angel) Hill both of Amanda; four great grandchildren, Aereal and Triston Hill and Jimmy and Emily Praither. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul (JoAnn) Bowman and Vera Keeton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Bowman and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like contributions to be made to St. Jude Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950 or Nationwide Childrenâs Hospital, P.O. Box 16810, Columbus OH 43216-6810 in Bettyâs memory.
