Belva L. Rucker

Belva L. Rucker, age 80 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1941, in Columbus. She was retired from Lancaster City Schools. Belva loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and she never met a stranger. She loved gardening, being outdoors and she loved to cook.

She is survived by her daughters, Annette (Alan) Eden, of Lancaster, Kathy (Thomas Harville) McCormick, of Lancaster and Linda (Kevin) Turner, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jennifer Vallier, Steven (Kaila) Olsson, Aveindha Hitchcock, Joshua (Nichole) Eden, Justin Eden, Jared (Katie) Eden, Christal (Brent Cullison) McCormick, Tammy (Jayson) Smith, Christopher McCormick, and Nicole (Luke Foreman) Turner; 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Denner, of Creedmoor, NC and Debra Russell, of Circleville; brothers, Virgil Dixon, of Chillicothe, Wayne (Erin) Dixon, of Circleville and Donald (Kathy) Dixon, of Laurelville; special friends, Rita Francis and Mary "Meme" Curtis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard R. Rucker; great grandson, William Ray Olsson; numerous brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. The memorial service can also be viewed live at the funeral home's Facebook page.
