Alice M. Bitler

Alice M. Bitler, 83, of Amanda, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016.  She was born March 6, 1933 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Earl and Laura Poling.  Alice was a 1951 graduate of Lancaster High School.  She was a member of the Amanda United Methodist Church, The “Lunch Bunch” and chair volleyball team.
Alice is survived by her husband of 63 years, James J. Bitler; children, Lori Engelhardt, Diane (Daniel) Graves, Mark Bitler and Todd Bitler and friend, Candi Stoer; brother, Herb (Pat) Poling; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret, Mildred, Vivian, Annabelle and Hazel and a brother, Harley.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Terry Borah officiating.  Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday.
